Does AA status still work on JetBlue
I'm a little confused on the state of the breakup of the American/Jet Blue alliance.
As I understand it, you can no longer use AA points to book Jet Blue (except for preexisting reservations).
What happened to the other benefits of the alliance?
If I put in my AA frequent flyer number and I have AA status, do I get an upgraded seat of JetBlue or is that now gone?
Same question on free baggage. Does AA status still get you free bags on Jetblue?
Or has everything gone byebye?

AA and JetBlue no longer have a partnership. Unless you have a preexisting reservation, you shouldn't expect anything and cannot add your AA number to a JetBlue flight and vice versa.
Much more information here: Northeast Alliance with AA is dead

A Jetblue agent on the partner desk thanked me for being AAdvantage Executive Platinum a few days ago. She was very good at her job, and got me what I needed very fast, so I am not surprised. In that sense, the status still works!
