LAX to Bahamas: when?

Hello folks: I heard that B6 will launch LAX to Nassau some time by the end of this year. Does anyone have insights about when the announcement will be made?

Interestingly, earlier this week Alaska Airlines announced service to NAS from LAX and SEA starting mid-December: https://news.alaskaair.com/alaska-ai...mas-caribbean/

Looks like they're planning to compete directly against JetBlue, at least on the LAX flight. With their strong west coast presence I imagine they will command a larger market share especially from connecting cities, though JetBlue will probably have the higher-end market with Mint.

JetBlue only added it to increase mint utilization on Saturdays. I'm not sure why AS is so eager for what seems to be a tiny market. It's probably not a big loss for B6 if they give it up at some point and try a different Saturday only mint market.

Although longer term, it does beg the correct of where JetBlue can actually add out of LAX. They don't seem to have the resources to build up LAX operation
