Lots of Points - no way to use them

I have a feeling I know what people will answer but I'm going to ask anyway
JB ran a special last year - get their credit card, spend $100 get 80,000 points. So now I have 95,000 points. What I failed to do was check where JB flew from where I live (Austin, TX) and now I am in a You Can't Get There From Here situation. I spent hours this week trying picking destinations and having JB saying nope not from Austin you can't. So all the points and no where to go. I know selling points is frowned upon is there a place to swap or trade miles/points? Am I just going to have to wait them out and see if they add more destinations?

For reference I cannot go west from Austin - anywhere. I can only go east. They reduce the flights to JFK to 1 a day.

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

All is not lost. Keep an eye on this potential development. I am hopeful that we will see something later this year.

Also, if you are based in AUS, you might consider picking up some AA miles with this Barclays credit-card offer; that should tide you over until you are able to redeem your TrueBlue points for travel on AA.

If you still have the jetBlue card, it looks like you will be able to redeem points for statement credits on the credit card bills, starting March 1.

What's wrong with NYC (or BOS)? One flight a day means they do go there and they likely can squeeze you on.

This is a free flight you are complaining about, right?

You can book Hawaiian Airlines flights with JetBlue points. Consider looking at AUS-HNL.

My suggestion as well. Or go somewhere on the east coast in the spring or summer.

This was one of the first flights I looked into - I would have to fly to NY first then to LA then to Hawaii- which just seems ridiculous. And yes I realize it is still a free flight -

This is not accurate. You can book an award on the nonstop AUS-HNL flight on Hawaiian Airlines metal if they have opened partner award availability. You need to call to talk to a JetBlue agent to check availability and book, you can't do it online.

Most of Hawaiian's inventory is only accessible over the phone.

Otherwise you may very well have to go through NY. It is ridiculous. JetBlue is a ridiculous airline.

Actually, Im not aware of any way to book HA parter awards on JetBlue.com.

The last time I saw awards actually price with the website they were showing the incorrect price and phone agents said it was a glitch/error and could/should not be booked.

When you say most - are you aware of any inventory that doesnt need to be booked over the phone?

I'm not, but I thought the OP (or whoever we're quoting) was able to, which would have been an improvement. AFAIK all HA travel must be booked through an agent.
