Yes and no. Or mostly yes? Buried on the website.
Once selected, any Perks You Pick are valid from the date they were earned through the end (12/31) of the following year. The date you select them does not have any impact on their expiration date. We encourage you to select Perks You Pick as soon as you earn them, but they can be selected at any time between when they are earned and 12/31 of the following year. At the start of each new program year (1/1), the tile tracker on your dashboard will reset to 0 tiles, but any Perks You Pick that were earned and selected in the prior year are still valid through 12/31, unless it was a one-time perk that was already used. Perks You Pick cannot be changed for any reason. Each time you reach a new tile milestone in the new year, you’ll have the chance to either:

I was already Mosaic through 12/31/23 and have now reached Mosaic 1. So that means I'm now Mosaic through 12/31/24? I cannot find an expiration date anywhere on the website or app and I'm fairly certain it used to be there before the system change. Why would they not publish that?

How long does TrueBlue Mosaic last?Mosaic status is valid for the remainder of the current year through the end of the following year. For example, if you earned Mosaic status in October, the status would be valid from October of the current year to December 31 of the following year. You can earn status based on your qualifying spend, whether it’s travel spend, credit card spend, or both. |

Tiles last until the end of the following year, regardless of Mosaic status. So tiles earned or awarded this year last until 12/31/24.

I think it’s just the extra 20, and maybe I will have to reselect the perk when 2024 starts (and lets one reselect or change to a new perk, as it sounds like this is the case in the terms below). I stopped trying to figure it all out, but here’s what it says for that one:
20-Tile BonusTake it to the next level faster with a 20-tile boost to your TrueBlue account—or gift the bonus to the TrueBlue account of another member.Expires on December 31, 2024 Once chosen, your perk selection is valid until the expiration date above. Once confirmed, perk selections cannot be modified. The first perk you select will be the first perk available next year for re-selection if, based on your tiles earned, you have earned more than one perk. At that time, you may reselect this perk or decline it to choose a different one, which will be valid from selection until the new expiration date for that perk. Keep Swap rules apply: https://www.jetblue.com/trueblue/perks. TrueBlue terms apply: https://trueblue.jetblue.com/terms-and-conditions. |

“Where did you see "Expires on December 31, 2024”
In the App -> True Blue -> My Perks -> clicked on the perk I previously selected and copied all the text from there. note it said 2023 the first time I selected it (the perk selected from last years status) and then was extended when I selected again when hitting Mosaic 1 in 2023. |

Edit: Or what the TrueBlue agent told me might be true - that tiles earned this year live until Dec. 31 of next year. We'll find out on January 1. Do the other "consumable" perks also say "Expires on December 31, 2024” |

Some of the Mosaic Perks You Pick are consumable (points, statement credit, Founders Card) - you get them and put them in your pocket. Some (Mint Suite Priority, Pet fee waiver) apply to the end of your current Mosaic status. Tiles might be a hybrid - goes into your account but lasts with Mosaic status. Or it might be consumable - goes into your account and then follows the same rules as other tiles.
Do the other "consumable" perks also say "Expires on December 31, 2024” I guess one question lingers. I currently have mint suite priority. If I cross another tile threshold and pick 20 extra tiles, do I lose mint suite priority? |

This may be the best explanation I've seen for all of this. If you pick 20 tiles, you never need to give them back. Same with Founders Card. If you do mint suite priority first and then switch to pet fee waiver, you lose mint suite priority.
I guess one question lingers. I currently have mint suite priority. If I cross another tile threshold and pick 20 extra tiles, do I lose mint suite priority? Either I am confused, or the website descriptions and nomenclature have been changed and clarified. Didn't both the 10-tile perks and the Mosaic level perks used to be called "Perks You Pick?" At any rate, here's what the site says now: There are five perks called Perks for True Blue Members to choose from at the 10 tile levels. On reaching Mosaic 1, you get the Mosaic 1 Signature Perks, which include all the above or improved versions, plus some more. Each Mosaic level has additional Signature Perks. Also, then and every time you level up, you get a Perks You Pick, which is the six we've been discussing. That page also says "Perks You Pick are stackable, so keep collecting tiles to add even more." I think they're talking about the Perks for True Blue members, also referred to as TrueBlue Perks You Pick™ in footnote 3. But it's also true for Mosaic Perks You Pick, at least until you level up in the following year. The Mosaic page says "Once selected, any Perks You Pick are valid from the date they were earned through the end (12/31) of the following year." So they are stackable, but only the ones from this year. Then in that following year: . "Each time you reach a new tile milestone in the new year, you’ll have the chance to either: o keep the current perk (which extends it through the end of the following year). o swap it for a different perk (which will be valid through the end of the following year). If you choose to replace the current perk, it will expire the day you select the new one. Please note that Perks You Pick must be extended or replaced in order of their initial selection." .If that's the way it works, then your number of stacked PYPs is limited to the higher of your Mosaic level in the previous or current year. For example, if you're Mosaic 2 in 2023, then you can take two ongoing (non-consumable) PYPs into 2024. Your first two PYPs in 2024 just extend those two (or a substitute) to 2025. If you make Mosaic 3, you should be able to get a third ongoing PYP - which would happen if the "through the end (12/31) of the following year" rule takes precedence over bumping. They have six more months to clarify that, and hopefully to also clarify that the consumable perks (which they refer to in one place as "one-time perks") will not bump the ongoing perks. And if I really understood all this, I should get a PYP PhD. |
I think I understand a little better now. The chance to pick perks you get pre-Mosaic qualifying kicks in after every 10 tiles (I think these perks can be superseded by subsequent picks - you pick one at 10 tiles that goes away if you pick a different one at 20 tiles).
Once you reach Mosaic, you get one perk you pick that lasts through your Mosaic tenure. If you reach a higher Mosaic level, then you get another perk you pick that lasts through that Mosaic tenure. But consumable picks -- 20 tiles -- are just used/applied. You don't get additional perks you pick at the 60/70/80/90 tile tiers. |

$$ remaining to reach next level
Hi
when the perks program was introduced I already qualified for 47 tiles. I don’t have a B6 credit card. At the time the dashboard indicated I needed $70.95 (or an amount close to that, going from memory) to reach the next level. this past Wednesday I fly LAS to BOS, base fare $296. looking at the dashboard today it says I still need $0.73 to get to the next level. I had anticipated a base fare of $296 would have covered the $70 but it seems not. how are the dollars remaining calculated then? thanks, Mike |

I'm also trying to figure out this one. Does picking 20 tiles give you a "discount" on achieving Mosaic next year as well? Say I earn Mosaic with $40,000 credit card spend and $1,000 travel in 2023. I choose 20 tiles. Do I only need to earn 30 tiles in 2024 to maintain Mosaic?
Next question - what if I have a pick but don't use it in 2023? Can I still make the pick in 2024? If so, then I can pick those 20 tiles for 2024. The agent read me something from an internal document that convinced him that the answer is yes. But what he read didn't say that. If someone else wants to take a turn down the rabbit hole, please let us know. Again - if we qualify for Mosaic in 2023 for 2024, can we hold off on picking our perk until 2024? |
What a garbage program where nothing is clear and no one can answer questions with confidence.

High class issue here now that I'm above 150 tiles.
Next "level" appears to be 250 tiles for a couple more Mint upgrades and the Blade helicopter rides. The Mint upgrades could be lucrative but the helicopter situation does not work for me. The other incentives as I've gained tiles (Founder's Card, Pet Waiver type incentives) are also not attractive for my travel purposes. There is an additional 15K points, which could be worth $150, at the 150 tile level which was useful, but above that there are no additional points bonuses. And the next level is 100 tiles higher? Suggestion to JetBlue: create additional incremental points options at these higher tile levels. |

Kim said "Each time you qualify for a new level of Mosaic, you will be able to select a perk from the Mosaic Perks you pick menu. We encourage you to select your perk as soon as you earn it but it can be selected any time between when it was earned and 12/31 of the following year." Leah said "Mosaic customers can choose from six different Perks You Pick, which are unlocked at Mosaic 1 and each time you reach a new Mosaic level. ... We encourage you to select Perks You Pick as soon as you earn them, but they can be selected at any time between when they are earned and December of the following year." Another agent said "Once the Perk You Pick is selected you would have the remainder of the calendar year to use it." The question was about selecting the PYP, not once it is selected - and I'm not sure how to apply her answer in any case. The other two sounded like they were paraphrasing the same document. So I found their answer credible by a vote of 2 to 0, with one spoiled ballot. And I stopped asking. ;) |
A Mosaic agent just told me that we don't get tiles on a flight because we booked using dollars from the Travel Bank. Is that true?
He told me two other things, both wrong. |

One more try. Two agents said I can earn a Mosaic PYP this year and P(ick) it next year. And this time I have it in emails. So if nothing changes in my account, I will:

And I stopped asking. ;) I had 47 tiles and a Mosaic Perk You Pick that I was holding until the end of the year, in case I got 7 more tiles without using the MPYP. Multiple JB phone agents had told me that I would not get tiles from a JB segment on a flight booked through Icelandair. But a week after the flight, in came 6 tiles, Mosaic 1 status through 2024, and a MPYP. Multiple Mosaic email agents had told me that the new MPYP would replace the old one. If that's true then I just lost a MPYP. But two phone agents looked at my account and told me that I have two MPYPs now. Everyone agrees that the MPYP(s) will remain usable until 12/31/24. So I'm doing nothing until 1/1/24. Then I'll use a MPYP for 20 tiles and see if I still have the other one. It's a shame that the only way to accurately know how this system works is to see how it worked. |
Anyone have feedback on the logistics of the Mosaic “even more space at check-in” benefit?
I am sure some routes tend to have more availability than others, just curious if this is like a mad scramble to checkin online first to secure these seats. I have a couple transatlantic flights booked for 2024 (which a even more space seat is about $400/rt and I feel this is about the only value I find in the program), would like to understand the process before then |
It is pretty rare for EMS to be sold out by check in time—especially with AA elites no longer competing for them. You can always check the seat map as it gets closer.
|
Let me ask this, if myself and my wife are both mosaic but I am flying with kids (no status) and it was all booked together. Will I get the option to upgrade the entire group to EMS or no?

I've noticed that the upgrade does not have to happen after actually checking in. I've been able to move to EMS(price shows up as $0) at T-24 as Mosaic 1 just by 'managing flights'. |
Update after first four months of the program year, still believe the EMS upgrades are most beneficial of Mosaic. Have had a good success rate (15 out of 16 legs) so far.
Still had a fair share of delays and a cancellation, doesn’t bode well for increased operational performance. B6 is hands down the best way to cross the Atlantic. I hope these routes survive future network changes. Have flown LHR, LGW, CDG and have AMS and DUB booked. Rooting for LIS and FCO once the XLR are delivered. |
Jumping on here regarding perks/rewards earned on account/paper vs what (in my experience) is provided in real life. I "earned" perks through purchases that supported JetBlue - the last presented "reward" was a free alcoholic drink in flight. Since the date I earned this award, I have completed 6 flights. On each of those flights, I enjoyed an alcoholic beverage and was told that I had to pay in flight and that the cost would be returned to me via statement credit (note: as has been my experience for inflight purchases throughout (ummm...) forever, no paper receipts are provided). Flight attendants have more, WAY MORE, important responsibilities than to be gatekeepers for my free drink/earned reward and there is no circumstance where I would question their telling me that a statement credit would be provided. No statement credit was ever provided. I reached out to JetBlue and was told that I must present receipts for purchases. i received no receipts inflight but was able to provide proof of purchases on my credit card statement for each drink. I was told there was a "blue button link" that would bring me to a digital receipt - clicking on that link brought me to a screen indicating no receipt was available. Six flights, one $10 (sometimes $12) drink per flight = $60. Not earth-shattering money - but - it was a reward earned for choosing to support JetBlue with my travel purchases and, frankly, do YOU want to just give $60 to some company?? After providing all the proofs of purchases showing date and cost for each drink, I was provided with a $25 travel bank credit as, JetBlue said, a "good gesture". This is just not fair or ok. If this is common practice over hundreds/thousands/tens of thousands of customers, think of the money JetBlue is pocketing instead of providing it to customers/TrueBlue members that earned this reward and considered it when choosing where to spend their travel dollars. It is just not right.

I think it’s also worth noting that if you fly on your birthday the flight attendants will give you a free alcoholic drink. Don’t believe this is a published benefit, but figured I would share. |
