Rebooking After Missing an Infrequent Flight?

Say you're booked to return from SXM on a Monday but you miss your flight. Will B6 make you wait until its Saturday departure* or will it put you on an AA flight the same or next day*?

*Assuming availability, of course.

You will be waiting or buying another ticket unless you missed the flight due to something JetBlue could control.

Adding to jjbiv's comment, you will not just be waiting, but you'll be waiting for a flight with an open seat.

So, if it is B6's fault, I still have to wait for an available seat on a B6 flight? Or, as noted, buy a flight on another airline home.

If it's B6's fault, you might be able to be re-accommodated on AA. It never hurts to ask.

I'm thinking it's better to fly on an airline with daily service. Thanks for the info.
