Pilot Busted

I read a Jet Blue Pilot stopped by TSA at BUF
suspicion of being under the influence he was twice the legal limit was to fly BUF-FLL. Totally irresponsible flying in that condition.

I absolutely hate when my flight is delayed because the pilot is drunk. If you cant fly it drunk then stay home.

I take it it was this flight since the others seem to have left a few mins early;

2465Origin BUF
Terminal: Main
Gate: 7Scheduled Departure
6:15 AM
Now 10:25 AMScheduled Arrival
9:33 AM
Now 1:10 PMDestination
FLL
Terminal: 3
Gate: E6Status● ARRIVED

what did the pilot do stay up all night and not sleep.and in BUF no less like its a crazy party town in the winter.

Feel bad for the family but they should have their wings taken away and never allowed to fly again

This should be a no tolerance offense. His certificate should be permanently revoked.

I seem to remember the pilot from the MIA or FLL America West incident years ago got re-certified after prison and for ATLAS or some other 747 operator out of Anchorage. Wasn't he quit pickled, too?

Not familiar with that one, so can't comment. I'm a big believer in second chances, but when it comes to public trust, it's most likely best to err on the side of caution.

An interesting point to the story is that it was a TSA agent who pointed out to the police that he appeared to be intoxicated

What's there to discuss?

Is anyone actually in FAVOR of someone flying with a BAC of 0.17?

yes! I realize that. I remember America West incident. They were drinking at the bar. They flew out from Miami to Phoenix. They are very intoxicated. Both pilot is fired from America West and they went to prison.
