Optimal booking window when using points
Hi All,
Pretty new to the Jetblue program, actually it will be my first time doing a redemption and I am just wondering if you vets know of a optimal window to book using points? Does it correlate with cash prices (ie. if I track cash tickets, and it drops, presumably it goes down too?).
I am specifically looking at SMF-CUN which is hovering around 41k pts round trip for early next year. Playing around with the dates and it seems like this is on the high end. Is it like SouthWest where they regularly run promotions and I have to look out for them?
Thanks for any suggestions!

They run promotions from time to time, but since you are booking with points your tickets will be eligible for free cancelation and rebooking.
If you have your dates set you should probably just book them and then track the prices. If the price drops you can just cancel your previous tickets and rebook at lower price(miles).
