Finally! A delivery this year! N3104J was delivered to VQQ for IFE setup. No idea what happened to N3102J which was built before it.

My daughter just flew on N3062J from BOS-PHX (!) Who would have thought they would be using these for a 6h 13m stage length?

They've been using them on transcons out of BOS for a while now. These planes have great range and only have 10 fewer seats than the pre-refurb A320s. It is essentially a mainline jet.

I guess so! What a huge increase in usability from the E190.

Yes... but on the shorter flights in the northeast, will the extra 40 seats be truly sustainable? Probably not, and that will result in a drop in frequencies to smaller cities. This already happened and they used the pandemic as an excuse, though some are back to their old service levels. Once the 190s really leave the fleet, it will be hard for them to justify over 400 seats a day between places like JFK and Syracuse.

I guess it depends on the CASM difference between the two...

I just booked an A220 flight ORD-BOS. The seat map on the JetBlue website is showing only row 12 as an exit row, but is showing row 13 as EMS also. Does anyone know if 12 is truly the only exit row, or can compare the leg room of 12 and 13?

Thanks.

Aerolopa says row 12 is 38" and 13 is 35" (as are the other EMS rows)

you are forgetting NK A319s that will probably be de-densified and have first class seating.

I would be very surprised if they kept F seating. It would make more sense to put 126-138 seats with three FAs, though that would be getting into A220 territory -- why keep both (other than to combat the aircraft shortage)? And why come up with a new domestic F cabin product that would require (1) training and (2) IT programming to sell? They are way to cheap to do that. Not to mention the CASM of the A220 is way below that of the A319. I honestly wonder if they would keep the plane at all or try to sell/scrap them.

As long as A319 is all paid for or on really attractive lease term, it makes no sense to retire them since you are not adding another fleet type. A319 also allow them to reach certain airport they cannot get to with A320 like JFK-BOG or these smaller ones in ACK/MVY

They need to come with new domestic F cabin because they are becoming a legacy carrier in product offering.

Wow, it looks like the deliveries might finally be ramping up!

N3142J was delivered on 11/20
N3145J was delivered on 11/25

Both were built in Montreal, and these are the first ones to have consecutive serial numbers. (55251 and 55252)

Just updated the wiki. Airbus came oh so close to actually delivering all of the A220s on time. They missed the end of 2024 by one plane.

Also interesting to note, is that N3244J was delivered without a name on the nose!
