A220 Tracking Thread
After several failed attempts, it appears that the first A220-300, N3008J, will finally be delivered today.

Perfect! Let see how it goes. This will replace E190 to A220 aircraft. I think they will deployed A220 on specific routes.
Do you know how many A220-100 or -300 on orders? |

Any indication of which routes will be the first to see the switch over to the a220? Despite the e190 being ancient and there being limited overhead space, I really enjoyed flying it. I have many fond memories riding it on the short hop up to Regan but I'm hopeful the new plane will be even better.

My guess is that the initial routes are the 3 to 4 hour type of routes out of BOS where E90 is really inefficient and A320 might be too much capacity. So that would be stuff like BOS-AUS/MSY/DFW/IAH/MSP.
My guess is LAX will get it before long. Those long thin transcon they've added would have a better chance of filling up on A220 vs A320. |
this is interesting
https://paxex.aero/jetblue-a220-first-delivery/ The really managed it to pack it in there while maintaining the 32 inch pitch. 30 EMS seats! That's a little more than the 25 original planned. So A220 will have 21.4% of seat as EMS vs 25.9 on the 162 seat A320 and 16% on E90. I'm guessing the mosaic should be able to get their day of upgrades. FAs might not be so happy with the reduced galley space. |
N3008J was ferried from Tampa (it was there for pilot familiarity training) to Boston where it will now be based at in the near future for pilot training. It will be flown to FLL tonight and will be back tomorrow.
They’ve also named the plane “Rob Dewar” |

Looks like A220 is getting scheduled in sooner than originally announced. First flights are on BOS-TPA.

Anyone know when this flight will be loaded into the system?
|
Still listed as an A320, but booked myself on that flight, first time on an "inaugural" flight, even if it's just a new aircraft type.

Is this plane entering service without LiveTV/wifi?
EDIT: I got news from someone working at JetBlue. Because they're able to park the planes for so long during the downturn in business, the LiveTV and wifi are installed in-house at JFK. It takes 3-4 weeks, and they are doing the A321neos as well. |
N3023J is expected to leave Mobile at 9AM today.
