Mosaic boarding

My home airport is Palm Beach (PBI). It’s always a free-for-all when the gate agent announces boarding. Prior to any annouements made I counted 14 passengers standing in line. Once the announcement was made for Mosaic boarding another 9 people run in line. When I finally made it up to the scanner I asked the gate agent how many Mosaic’s on board and she said three. Prior to moving to South Florida I lived in Chicago and flew American exclusivity (Lifetime Platinum). The American gate agents always enforced the boarding process and would never allow people to rush the lines prior to their elites boarding.

This isn’t a one time event. I fly between PBI and EWR every other week and unfortunately the same outcome.

Is the gate agent actually boarding all those passengers when Mosaic is called or are they just gate lice? If they are being boarded, I'm sorry to say but that's something I would report via social media or Contact Us page. The GA's job is to enforce the boarding rules so that the process is consistent across stations. Part of being Mosaic is having that privilege to board early and get acclimated to your personal space.

It also bugs me when non-revving crew pre-board ahead of Disabled or Mosaic passengers. I've seen it happen in multiple cities. I feel like Disabled and Mosaics should always be first to board and then any exceptions can happen before Group A.

PBI is a substandard outstation. I'm not surprised at all. The gate agents are employed by JetBlue though, so if you complain to JetBlue, it will be addressed.

Also, welcome to FlyerTalk!
