Legit Compensation Request?
Understanding that the east coast is working its way through a blizzard, was wondering if it is worthwhile to ask JBLU for compensation for keeping my family and I at SJU airport from an entire day on a rolling delay (on and off aircraft multiple times).
Upon check-in, it was made crystal clear this flight was leaving. JBLU attendants and crew in SJU said the plane and crew was necessary at EWR for a flight tomorrow AM.
After multiple boarding's and off-boarding's, they cancelled the flight - 7 hours later. Is it worthwhile bothering or will they just blame the weather? Only really complaining as I could have stayed the extra night at the hotel, but being the flight was still 'ON TIME' the hotel was not willing to extend our stay at the current rate as they were expecting a conference today through tomorrow.
