Pre-Check?

Me and my family just printed our boarding passes for tomorrow and they're all marked with TSA pre-check on the upper right corner. Should we be able to use the Pre check lines at EWR?

None of us are pre-check, but I did hear that they are allowing some people to utilize the pre-check lanes.

If the BP is marked then you get to use the lane. Keep in mind that, AFAIK EWR is still PreCheck "Light" so you'll still have to take everything out of your bag.

Related question so I will add it here. I have GE account, added it to my b6 profile, I thought I remember reading there was some problem with this working correctly and a call was required. Is this still the case?

I have never needed to call to get my KTN to reflect properly on a reservation.

That is correct. EWR is definitely PreCheck "Light". No separate line, they hand you an orange card and you must file through with everyone else. Laptop still comes out, etc. You may keep your shoes and a light jacket on, and you go through a metal detector instead of a body scanner.

It is pretty stupid and makes PC pretty useless there. DFW is the same way at most gates.

Just to clarify for readers not familiar with EWR is that Terminal A where B6 is located for departures it is PreCheck lite. Terminal C is regular PC in all 16+ of my departures from it so far this year.

The Southwest section of the Central Terminal at LGA is the same way.
