first time JetBlue flyer
Got a sub-300 fare from Dulles to Portland, OR via long beach, ca and back via jfk
How is the airline for those that have flown it? Long Beach, CA seems random for a layover, but for 270$, ill take it

Personally, I love JetBlue. I don't fly enough to earn elite status with other airlines to cash in on upgrades, first class, etc. So I think JetBlue is a great airline for the occasional flyer. Free checked bag, free snacks, DirecTV, XM radio, and no involuntary bumps. Crewmembers are super nice and they have excellent customer service, imo. For a transcon flight, I would recommend getting the Even More Space seats because it is way more comfy. For a shorter flight, I wouldn't bother since it's like $35 extra.

i might put more money later on into the seats, but right now, im pretty satisfied with my selection. They already have more room than delta and united. I'm 6'5 and seeing 34" for legroom is awesome!

Hi,
Another first time Jetblue flyer here. Me and my wife and newborn will be flying SFO-FLL and wondering if there were any empty seats during the flight can I have the car seat in the plane? And do they gate check the car seat and stroller?

They do gate check strollers, etc. Not sure about bringing the car seat on the plane though. Ask the crewmember at the gate.

The car seat in the aircraft can be hit or miss. The ONLY way to ensure you can bring it on is to buy a seat for it. You can always speak with the gate agent as well as the flight crew to see if there is an empty row that you can move to and put the car seat in the window of that row. However with as full as we have been those chances may be slim. Our loads have been continuously in the high 80% for the last few months. I prefer to have a small child in a car seat if possible and will do what I can if I have the availability to do so. It's much much safer for everybody that way however I can't speak for how the cabin crew you will have will respond. I'm sure that they will be willing to work with you as you can speak to them when you set the car seat down by the cabin door when you board.

former AA FT
Us too! Not that we had much of a choice (at first); we have a business in the US Virgin Islands and AA no longer offers a non-stop BOS/STT. We took our first B6 trip earlier this month (and our next B6 trip is scheduled for as soon as the Jet Blue BOS/STT non-stop starts again next month). We love the warmth and friendliness of B6 -- from the gate agent to the crew. We liked the individual entertainment systems (well, okay, the fleet is getting a little old and neither my wife's or my set worked on one of our flights, but our great FA made up for that with a $15 travel bank voucher for each of us!). We liked the price including one free checked bag. We appreciated the assistance of the FA to help stow our carry-on luggage. We look forward to our future trips on B6.

I love LGB!
It's a tiny little airport that's going through some major renovations right now. Until they're done (late December I believe), just be aware that there is no real restaurant past security. Just grab and go stands with prepacked stuff and some baked goods.
If you want to exit the secure area, there is a full service restaurant on the second floor of the "terminal" above the check in area.
