Strong rumor, partially confirmed by somebody reliable, that you will see 1, maybe 2 destinations announced within the next 2 weeks. We are suppose to start 2 cities domestically by the end of the year and maybe 1 in the caribbean.

Barger said on Twitter to not expect anything this coming week. Wouldn't be too surprised to see another New England city added to the map in the near future.

Don't forget they have wi-fi trials starting this summer and I think the growth at DCA and LGA has taken the fleet to the limit for now.

The heavy checks on all those due are taking a toll for now as well.

The new cities to be announced will be for the end of this year.

MEM has a $1mm bounty for new/competitive service which goes into effect on July 1. Could be interesting. I could see MCO/FLL and onward connections as well as BOS doing OK. AUS, probably, too, but who knows.

How about JFK, LGB, LAX, SFO, SAN, SEA, PHX, LAS. They need to expanding more domestic new route from MEM. This is right choice.

I would imagine that we would probably see PVD-FLL/MCO and if Memphis turns out to be true, then maybe MEM-BOS/JFK/FLL/MCO.
I am excited about ViaSat WiFi trials starting, can't wait to be on an aircraft with it. I am also interested in the powerports for EMS seats.

B6 eyeing Naples, FL (APF). B6 will consider service from APF-JFK or BOS.

If JetBlue ever wanted to expand at AUS, now is the time.

1. For the first four months of 2012, JetBlue's passenger totals at AUS were up 14.9% from the same period in 2011.

April 2012 AUS Activity Report (scroll down to Page 15.)

2. JetBlue uses Gate 19 at AUS. United formerly used Gates 21 & 23. UA has now taken over Gate 25, but gave up Gate 21 - right next door to JetBlue's Gate.

Any truth to the rumors of JetBlue possibly starting service into MHT not sure if it would make sense since they already have service into BOS, BDL and might possibly go into PVD.

djplong Jul 2, 2012 6:17 am

I would tend to doubt it anytime soon. As much as I would LOVE having them come to MHT since I live just a few miles from there, I can only see it happening if their BOS-JFK service is full and they need more feeders into JFK for growth. (Note that they are also in PWM and JFK appears to be their most popular destination from there at 95,000 passenger per year, according to Wikipedia so that would already catch some of the north-of-Boston traffic)

Nice! I'm glad to hear that. I hope for B6 will be successful service from JFK-CTG. Actually, this is second cities in Colombia and not third cities.

Here the official PR:

No one said it was the third city. It will be the third route, however, as BOG has service from both FLL and MCO.

Right, they didn't say that. I think it was third route from BOG-FLL/MCO & CTG-JFK. My guess B6 will be next FLL-CTG or MCO-CTG.

JetBlue representatives have been meeting with GUA and BZE officials to open new routes to start this year. Does GUA and BZE have big markets in order to sustain flights from JFK/MCO/FLL?
