Well, well, well, isn't B6 will considering service to PHF. Maybe B6 will startup service PHF-BOS/FLL/MCO/TPA/AUS or LGB/LAS.

Unfortunately, B6 will not coming to PHF. They still searching for new airline is coming to PHF. I'm very disappointed the news to hear.

Barger recently said no to MLB. Hard to believe that DAB is all that much more likely.

Yes, you're right. It was too close MCO/MLB. I don't think it's happening in the future. DAB is a right choice. It was not too far away from St. Augustine or Jacksonville, FL.

Probably not for a while unless if they have A320neo delivered. Probably they won't startup service to Hawaii sometime in 4 or 5 years.

LGB-BOS is farther than LGB-HNL.... or can't they fly those existing A320 over the Pacific?

It's only about 40 miles longer to fly LGB-BOS than LGB-HNL but there are 2 problems. 1 is that we aren't certified for ETOPS and 2nd is we some times struggle to make BOS-LGB without a tech stop for fuel. Over the pacific there isn't any place to stop for fuel so if you run into stronger than predicted headwinds you are going to be in trouble.

:-:

They will absolutely not be operating to HNL with the current fleet. Barger also said that in his recent route planning tweet fest. It would probably work if they blocked 20-30 seats and also limited cargo but then they'd have no chance of making money so why bother.

I believe they have to gets ETOPS overwater certified from FAA approval. If they have required to get lifevest & rafts, too. They have to trained the ETOPS overwater certified.

Perhaps B6 using the E190 plane to replace the PHF-MCO/BOS/NYC runs that FL is pulling?

Dieuwer Feb 6, 2012 9:34 am

I said it before, but why not connect the dots first? There are still no BOS-BGI/HOU/ROC/SLC/SMF/STX/SYR/UVF flights.

thomwithanh Feb 11, 2012 9:04 am

BOS-PHL... please? WN pulled out and now fares on US are skyrocketing. Would be nice to come back to B6, too.

Still waiting...

It seems though that growth has come to a halt with respect to new routes. Maybe the entire air travel market is saturated and henceforth the only thing that will actually happen are capacity cuts and cancellations. :(
