In light of the updated SD (security directive), has JetBlue turned IFE back on for flights with an international origin?
Yes

From jetblue.com:
Operations Update
Last Updated: 12/29/2009 10:26:00 AM EST

Customers on flights originating outside of the United States are asked to allow at least one additional hour for check in due to U.S. government mandated security procedures. Customers are asked to plan accordingly. JetBlue?s LiveTV system will be operable on international flights bound for the United States.

no problems with my IFE to report on an LAX-JFK flight December 28th

all went fantastic, I missed JetBlue! after a one year absence... luckily I started and finished the year flying JetBlue (with a ton of Virgin Blue, Qantas, Air France, KLM and AirAsia flights inbetween)
