11 hours layover at KIX
Hi,
I will be arriving at KIX from HKT via TG at 0600am and will catch a flight to YVR via AC at 1700. I will be traveling with my 3 year old.
My questions are:
-does the Nikko Hotel next door offers any day rate and does anyone have any ideas how much it may be?
-are there any transit lounges (paid or not) in the non-restricted area that one (and the kid) may get a shower or a snooze?
- This is more like a dream but would TG be able to give me (being a Star Alliance Gold Member)the AC boarding pass at HKT so that I may check in earlier (if not 12 hours earlier) to use the ANA lounge?
-Lastly, (this is not related) any feedback as to how good the baggage storage services are and which ones (or on which floors) shall I be looking at for storage of a medium sized baggage.?
Thanks for your thoughts.

There are paid lounges on the domestic departures level (level 2). 500 yen an hour from memory.
On the international departures level (level 4) there are baggage storage facilities at either end. I think they're still there anyway.
You might want to get on a train and go into Osaka with such a long stay at KIX. Good airport but not much there to keep the big kids from getting restless let alone a 3 year old

I once flew CHC-AKL-SYD-LAX-ORD-IND, and Air New Zealand was able to check me (and my bags) in for all 5 flights in CHC, even though some flights were on UA. I assume other Star Alliance carriers can do the same.
And if you still don't have a boarding pass, I bet if you go the the NH counters at KIX they'll figure something out for you.
