Just checking in from my ANA flight which has free Connexion. Very happy about that. NEX it is, I guess, with a taxi from there right? I printed out a card with my hotel info in Japanese...I can only hope it says the name and address like I think it does, rather than, oh...."Spa is available from 12-8. Please ask about our fabulous continental breakfast."

If you get out of the Yaesu side to Tokyo station, you can walk to the Seiyo Ginza, which is at the Kyobashi edge of Ginza. It is no more than a 10 minute walk from Tokyo station.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, I've been in immigration lines > 45 minutes, but YMMV.

I took the Narita Express today at 16:43 and yeah, there was no reason to be worried about it selling out. Immigration was 10 minutes max. Could have walked from Tokyo station but had NO clue where I was so I took a cab. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get that map book before I left

That is a pretty typical reaction for first-time visitors to Tokyo Station. Glad it all worked out easier than you feared. Next time you'll be a pro.
