You’ll find a hefty proportion of the nannies who look after expat infants at Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park in Hiroo, or dropping off/picking up their charges at the nearby Azabu Kids to Teens Hall. There will be plenty of English speakers pushing swings there on any given morning who’d know.

Wanted to thank the recommendation of this neighborhood. It's perfect. Exactly what we were looking for.

Would like to resurrect this thread.

So far travel has gone really well - as well as it could be with a cantankerous 9 month old. We spent time in Tokyo (Shibuya/Shinjuku/Ginza), did a day trip to Fuji, then did Kyoto and are doing Osaka now. Heading back to Tokyo for Cherry Blossoms and more time in Shibuya and then have a week mostly unplanned.

Where should we go next? Perhaps something with more natural beauty. Nagasaki? Niseko? Perhaps a place with an onsen?

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.
Whilst Nagasaki is more of a city break , it does have a lot of hills close by ( inc Mt Insayama with an observatory on top)
Miyajima island is beautiful with a ropeway up Mt misen ( whilst doable on a day trip fron Hiroshima, it may be worthwhile staying overnight as the experience will be different after the day trippers have gone

As you are now back in tokyo, there are Yokohama, Kamakura or maybe Nikko

Regards

Sendai

And your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to eat at every gyutan restaurant at the Gyutan Dori in the station (locations outside the station are also acceptable )

I'll try...

Still looking for a nice resort in a forest, nature area, perhaps with mountains, for four or five days. A lot of options are booked up.

My wife and I enjoy Takao -- easy to get to, a fun hike (can be made more challenging if you take other routes than the main one): Takao Hike
