QR code needed for returning resident?

I have a permanent residence visa and am traveling with my Japanese wife. We left Japan last week for the US and will return to Japan next week. I realize that there will be no requirement to show vaccination proof when entering Japan. But what about some kind of QR code to show? Our details are registered on the Visit Japan Web site, but I don't see any QR codes there to show for immigration in Tokyo. Am I missing something? Is that something only required for tourists, not residents? Thanks for the help.

The codes aren't really necessary to get for anyone -- but they definitely can save you time at immigration and customs -- my Japanese wife uses VJW every time we come back (we are back now) -- and she used it last week when we arrived. Think of it more as an electronic version of all the paper we used to have to fill out as that's really what it is now... Scan your passport, scan the QR code, and walk out the automated gates.

That's good to know. But where do I find the VJW QR code? I have registered both of us on the website. When I sign in, I can see our names and noted as registered. I don't see any QR code or link to a page to find the codes.

Did you create a new "planned entry / return" on the app? For each trip back to Japan you have to register your specific trip details....

There's an app? All I can find is a website.

Yes, registered specific trip details as well as password information. Can't find a QR code anywhere nor any directions about how to find it.

Then click on the trip details, if you've entered all of the required information you will see an option to display the QR code for both the disembarkation and for customs.... Here is a pic from my VJW for our trip home last week...

Thanks to all for the help. Figured it out. I did not finish the Customs Declaration, so couldn't get to the QR Code.
