Best way to go from Osaka to Tokushima
Hi, not sure what is the best way to get from Osaka to Tokushima with checkin luggage. I will only be in Osaka for 1 day (land in afternoon and leaving the next morning) before going to Tokushima so I am not sure there is enough time to courier the luggage forward. Train would involve multiple changes (not an ideal situation with the luggage). The most direct way seem to be JR Highway bus but the website seems to indicate there is no luggage trunk on the bus. Does anyone know is there luggage space for that route?

Yes, the express bus will be most convenient for Osaka - Tokushima travel. JR West Bus which runs between Osaka - Tokushima does have a trunk space. The maximum dimension of luggage accepted is 1 m x 1 m x 1 m.
JR West Bus website
under About luggage. it says "Leave large luggage in the storage" which means the trunk space of the bus. The Japanese website is more clear and says "trunk room."

If the JR west Bus option is not viable and you find yourself in front of a Kosoku Bus stand, the T&Cs on their web page state that you can purchase a ticket for luggage up to 30kg with them (in addition to the standard cabin size 10kg bag you can take on for free). How one goes about making this purchase wasn’t at all obvious though.
