Hakone or lake Kawaguchiko are very good, recommended
There are many Japanese people in the hot spring hotels in Hakone and many foreigners in Lake Kawaguchiko. In Lake Kawaguchiko, if you are lucky, you can see the reflection of Mount Fuji in the lake, “逆さ富士”. And some hot spring hotels in Lake Kawaguchiko where you can enjoy the window view of Mount Fuji.

Or of the clouds blocking Mount Fuji, of course — always a very real possibility!

lol yea... I stayed there for three days in May 2019, and only one day Mount Fuji was not obscured by clouds.
