Best Sake bar?

Hello,

Looking for recommendations for the best sake bars in Tokyo. Will have a one night layover. We will be grabbing dinner at Sushi Saito or Sushi Iwa(if we cant get a seat at Saito). Looking to find a place to sample some Sake as it can be hard to find a good selection in the states. Any suggestions? It will be a Monday night if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

"Sake bars" aren't really a thing in Tokyo: sake is meant to be enjoyed with food, and any izakaya worth its salt will have a good dozen available by the glass. But let us know where you're staying and/or end up eating, and I'm sure the FT hivemind can suggest a few places with a good selection.

Thanks. This is good to know. Staying at the Ritz Carlton in Roppongi. Still waiting to confirm dinner reservations.

Anpuku in Toranomon Hills and Akita Pure Rice Sake next to Tokyo Station are both very nice, casual sake bars where you can enjoy a nice selection of sake in small tasting-size glasses. Sake no Ana in Ginza is also quite good.
Tokyo sake bars.
