yah. I'd gladly sell my Hibiki 12 at those prices for full bottles. I purchased 6 at Astor in NYC for US$42. ;-) I think I have like a dozen bottles.

Jule’s Whiskey is on my list to stop by our first night in Tokyo since we are staying in Ginza.

Ikm not sure I’d buy anything special to take home given the prices but will definitely look for a nice bottle for back in the room as we spend 2 weeks traveling around. Now to figure out how best to transport an open bottle in my bag from location to location. :-)

I have a couple Hibiki 17 that I got from Yamaya for Ą900.
That was when the 700ml bottles had disappeared but the minis were still around.

Just realized my typo... I meant mini Hibiki 17s

I bought a few back in 2018 at a Tokyo Hands in Kobe and still have them around. Price was probably around 900yen each too

I asked a friend of mine who's currently visiting Osaka to look out for the new Yamazaki and Hakushu highballs but he told me after checking a few 7-11s and Family Marts, they were no where to be seen.

The Highballs are pretty much sold out - Yamaya, Shinanoya all sol out, and the last 3 were picked up at Liquor Mountain in Hiroo at the weekend. All limited and seems off the shelves last weekend.

Hakushu were gone in about 3-4 weeks. Yamazaki in 2-3 weeks.

Interesting but with fx, the yamazaki 12 full is only slightly more than at the PA liquor stores. And it is pretty easy to find in PA.
