Leaves walk

As it is Koyou (leaves changing colour) season a very nice walk would be through the Hokkaido University campus. It's located very close to the main Sapporo Station.

Also, Otaru nearby has a nice canal that you can walk along and one of the best Japanese beers in Japan (in my opinion), Otaru Beer.

Have a good time!

I will be in Sapporo for 5 days over Christmas.
I would like to do skiing for one day. There is different ski resorts around Sapporo but which one is the most convenient with other activities like spa?

Moreover, I would like to invite my friend to a nice japanese restaurant on Dec24. Do you have any recommendations? I do not mind if it is ramen, shabu, etc.

Any other tips?

Thanks in advance!

When I was an exchange student in Sapporo quite a few years ago my host family, all keen skiers, used to go to Otaru for ski, spa and sushi weekends. You should be able to find everything you desire in this port city next to Sapporo.

Rusutsu ski resort

I recommend Rusutsu ski resort for the one day. They have great terrain and its big. They also have a hotspring at the resort and a hotel with bars if you want to relax after skiing.

Theres also a free bus that takes you to and from the resort from Sapporo.

For restaurants, I think eating soup curry is perfect in the winter. check out this link for soup curry restaurants around Sapporo.

Enjoy
