Fall color trip.

Shameless self-promoting. Recently finished a November search for fall color photos - Sendai, Matsushima, Naruko-onsen, Nara, Hikone, Nagasaki, Shimabara, Hakata and Fukuoka (actually the same but ... .) It rained most of the time I was there but I got a few shots.

Here's a teaser:

Kasuga Taisha Grand Shrine, Nara.

Link if anybody is interested. I posted less than 100 of the 500 pix I brought home : http://jfrader.smugmug.com/Travel/Ja...36855971_L9Nw6 .

Fabulous photos. Thanks for sharing.
And you met one of my heroes, Musashimaru!

(BTW - It's Kasuga Taisha, I think)

Yeah, you're right. Typing brain fart. Fixed now.

Thanks for the kind words. "Moose" was very gracious considering I just walked up to him and some friends taking a smoke break outside the back door of the kokusai center.

Glorious!

And I'm particularly happy to see the Sendai pictures as I went at about the same time with uncharged batteries for the camera.

Thanks for the kind comments. Just FYI, at the urging of family, I have added a bunch more photos from this trip to the same online album. Same link as above.

Fantastic pictures! Just reinforces why I wish more people made Nagasaki a stop on their Japan trips. And I loved the rikishi pix at the end!
