Conditions Non-Japanese passport holder, aged 3 and over can use VISIT JAPAN fare.
You are a foreign tourist visiting Japan from abroad for sight-seeing, under the entry status of Temporary visitor.
Temporary Visitor entry status, according to Japanese Immigration Law, allows a stay in Japan of 90 days for sight-seeing, etc.
If you apply for a stay for sight-seeing when you enter Japan, entry personnel will stamp your passport as Temporary Visitor, as shown below. Only person who has a passport bearing this stamp can use a VISIT JAPAN fare.
Available on stand-by basis only. When there is a seat available at the airport on the day of departure(booking is not available).

Basically the same as oneWorld JAL visit Japan product ? (well 1000 yen cheaper than ANA ? ) except much less choice

SNA's fare is on stand-by basis. This means you don't have to purchase the tickets before you enter Japan while ANA and OW fares require you to do so.
Some tourists may find the fare very useful.

Not so sure how many tourists on a short trip will want to hang around an airport hoping standby space is available!

Richard san, Japanese careers are not so good at yield management and inventory control.
