JAL Haneda first Lounge access question

JAL Haneda first Lounge access question
We are looking to fly first from LAX to HND in JAL first . Transit 6 hr at haneda and to kuala lumpur on MAS business.

Do we have access to the JAL first class lounge ?

No. KL is a more than 5 hour flight, so Oneworld rule state that the class of the departing flight will count.

JAL rules are more generous and should grant access for same day transit. But the rules aren't published so they could have changed it at any time.

My understanding has been that is JAL to JAL... JAL to OW gets same joys?

Thanks All for the replies. I made a mistake.

Looks like its:
- First for LAX to HND on JAL
- First for HND KUL on Malaysian airlines

Will this still provide access to the JAL haneda first class lounge ?

I don't truly know if Business Suites from a booking class perspective counts as first class or as business class. Malaysia Airlines rewamped their first class to business suites, so it will depend on how they positioned that to their partners. Can you see the booking class code?

So depending on how it counts, you get business or first class lounge.

MH uses JAL Lounge at HND. If it treats that as F, OP will automatically have access to JL F lounge based on the MH flight alone. Doesn’t really matter how JL treats the flight IF MH advertises that as a first class that comes with first class lounge access.
