Arriving at MXP

A brief note as things have changed at Malpensa arrivals.

First, as a result of the Coronavirus there is now staff with thermometer "guns" who zap you for two seconds to make sure you don't have a high fever. I did not see anyone "fail" the test and not sure what happens if you do.

Second, there is now electronic passport check for US and some other countries. So there are three passport lines, US+a few others, EU and then other others. In the US line you pass through three steps; you scan your passport, then another machine takes your picture and then the same old guy stamps your passport. The line moves very slowly as the scan machine seems not so great, and you have to move through a gate from each stage when it tells you to (not just when you're done).

So for the first time in ages, my priority tagged suitcase was circling the luggage carousel before I got there.
