Stay X nights, get 10k points... 2008

I just received this (a rough translation, the original e-mail is in Spanish):

Stay 12 nights from 1 January to 31 March 2008 and receive 10,000 points
Promo code: 2013

Better promos will come, but it's good to know they haven't been discontinued.

I could understand it if it were 10k/night and you had to decide how many nights you would be staying for the year (ie, if you sign up for the 8 night promo you won't get the extra bonus points if you stay 10 nights).

But if I read this correctly, these promos are "Stay X night, get [total] 10k bonus." Is that right? If 10k is fixed, why would you want to sign up for the more nights promo code in order to get the same 10k?

Hi UCSF_MED

You only get one offer from PC usual for the stay X get 10k. Sometimes you can look out for say stay 4 get 10k but your not really supposed to get that at all and its just a fluke that you can.

So folks, here are the ground rules for the 1st 2008 stay X get 10k

:-::-::-:

1. DONT sign up for any of the stay X get 10k codes yet until we have a list of them all with the main one we want being the stay 4 or 5 get 10k.

2. DONT call PC up at all about it if you dont get any of these codes.

3. DONT call PC up if you register for say the stay 18 get 10k then want to change it to a better promo code.

4. DONT complain to PC if it does not let you sign up for any promo codes other than the one they have sent you.

:-::-::-:

Thats about it. I will update the master promo thread shortly with these codes.

So far we have

8
10
12
18

regards

It's not a matter of "wanting to" for most people - they only see the promo they are targetted for, not being active FTers like us!

Can someone remind me...

Does a stay from Dec 28 - Jan 2 count as 5 days to the 4q 2007 promo, 5 days to the 1q 2008 promo, or is it split among both?

thanks,
rich

Which is just fine...the gazillions of them who register for such mask the relatively few of us who 'may' just get the code wrong when we register!

Based on past experience it will post to the 2008 bucket...but of course YMMV.
