This won't work, most of the hotels can't change booking dates on PB.

Plus any PB booking across the deadline (31/12) will treat as normal reward night for the nights after 31/12.

Separately, re the points and cash thing, this message came up when i went to look at the booking, without me trying to do anything re cash:

Points and Cash is Unavailable The Points and Cash rate is unavailable because at least one night in your stay is at the Special Point Breaks rate of 5,000 points per night. You can search for a different hotel or book this hotel with any available rate including the "points only" Reward Nights rate.
If you go all the way through to confirmation you'll see that it doesn't, 5k will be deducted for the first night 30/12, and 15k? for each of the other nights.

How does cancelation of a PB Hotel work? The terms say:

Priority Club members who cancel their Reward Night reservation will have their points used for that reservation re-deposited into the member's Priority Club account, and may be subjected to a processing fee. Priority Club members who do not cancel their Reward Night reservation by the cancellation deadline and do not use their reservation (no-show) are still subject to a no-show charge for the first night of the reservation, plus tax, per room, billed to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation upon booking. The points redeemed for the no-showed Reward Night reservation will be re-deposited into the member's Priority Club account.
What sort of processing fee? and how long does it take for the points to be redeposited? Reason I ask is I am planning on using up some of these points I have for a trip at the end of the year, but just don't know if I should book using this set of hotels or wait for the next set of PB hotels.

As far as Im concerned (that is what has happened when Ive cancelled) the points go directly (less than 5 min.) back into your account and theres no charge at all.
