Well, if last night is anything to go by, it doesn't make any difference whatsoever. I still got the pashmina/scarf thingy!

Is it typical of Club rooms at IC to NOT offer complimentary in-room internet?
These are benefits at IC SIN:
• Private hotel check-in and check-out at Club InterContinental lounge
• Peranakan welcome tea service upon check-in
• A library featuring Peranakan literature at Club InterContinental lounge
• Daily breakfast from 6.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
• Afternoon tea served from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from 5.30 p.m.
to 7.30 p.m.
• A premium selection of coffee and tea available all day
• 24-hour access to fitness centre with gymnasium, sauna, jacuzzi and spa services
• 24-hour professional secretarial services. Charges apply
• Free pressing service on any three pieces of clothing
upon arrival
• 25% discount on all laundry services
• Personalised Club InterContinental Concierge service
• Complimentary internet and wireless broadband access at Club InterContinental lounge and The Lounge
• A boardroom to conduct meetings (limited to one hour
per stay)
I called to inquire about in-room internet and was told complimentary access is only at the lounge. :-(

That's my main beef with IC Singapore. There's no reason to have to pay S$30 a day for in-room internet when most other ICs offer complimentary in-room access as a club benefit.

Consistency of benefits is not always a good thing - they could always standardise on NO free internet
Perhaps more important in structuring IC SIN's internet strategy is what other 4 & 5-star hotels in Singapore do. Sadly, my experience remains limited to the IC and the CP - any more wide-ranging experience?

From what I know, Traders chain offers free internet. Hyatt, to its middle and top tier elites, Starwood to its top tiers.
In most hotels with club lounges, they almost always offer complimentary in-room internet.
This one strikes me a strange.
