As a Spire, I was given the alleged room upgrade (ie two bottles of water) and a couple of drinks vouchers at check in in lieu of the welcome points.
No Club Lounge access - I have only ever once been given Club Lounge access whilst staying in normal room there and that was when after checking in, I entered the allocated room to find a naked lady just coming out of the bathroom! I didn't know who was the more shocked, me or her. Anyway, I was given lounge access and more drinks vouchers by way of an apology.
I would stay at the HIX if I were you and save some money.

Well, after a few years being closed due to being used to house migrants/asylum seekers, it looks lime the CP @ MAN airport is being refurbished and reopening to the public on 4th Jan 2024:

Note that the hotel shuttle to the airport now appears to be chargeable - it was always free when it was last open!

Decided to stay a night here just to see what it's like.
Bit unorganised at present as the new staff are being trained and are learning.
Initial desk agent didnt do Diamond greetings etc., but someone else did. Offered points, a drink or breakfast - took breakfast although not 100% sure where it is.
The shuttle bus seems to be £3.60 (one way?)
Parking is £15 a day, maybe slightly less if longer stays are booked.
Lounge closed for now. Did ask as was going to use my lounge pass.
Not sure about the gym.
Think only two floors, 1 and 2, at present have been refurbed.
Did look at room service / food on the TV but no options for anything. Maybe not set up yet.
Empty mini fridge
Seems have usb a and c sockets
Toiletries
Toiletry
Rainfall shower over the bathtub
Rusty bit behind the bathroom taps

Seems a lot of the facilities aren't open, or are partially open.
Will comment on breakfast later should I manage to get to it on time (5:30am start)

Very clearly says Exec Lounge available for future dates. Was it blacked out for your dates? If not did they offer any recompense?

Just think the place has been "soft opened" and they're working on bits as they go.
If you just want a bed for the night and no real frills, it's fine at present. I would probably head over to the HI if I wanted more bang for my buck at present.
If the lounge is, from what i can remember, the bit near the lifts, 100% closed.
Lounge?
Fitness club / gym seems to need a key card from reception.
Breakfast is a continental buffet. There is a menu with hot food that is cooked to order. Not sure if my diamond benefit included that.
Water bottle station near the lifts. Should that work, yet again, I dont know
Bar area.
Continental breakfast. Breads, pastries, cereals etc.
Continental breakfast. Cold meats (salami, ham and turkey) and cheese. Some boiled eggs.
Breakfast menu.

Popped back for a return visit and a the hotel seems a bit busier than last time.
Around £113, so not overly cheap compared to some places. About £2 less for the Holiday Inn express near the airport, so the extra £2 is a good deal.
Lounge has now opened.
A lot of the drinks in the fridge are alcohol free beers and ciders Plus mixers and soft drinks / water.
They seem to have spirits etc. where the hostess hangs out.
Offered canopies when I went in around 7pm.
Salted and salt & vinegar crisps; biscuits to help yourself to.
Seems they added my lounge pass automatically.
The person on the front desk did give the impression I could have a continental breakfast in the lounge, although the menu says the restaurant. Will see tomorrow.
Got a 4th floor room with a coffee maker and fridge.
Don't think the coffee maker had ever been used as the tank was dry and still had a sticker holdingvthe tank in place.

That plated Canapé offering looks suspiciously similar to the very sparse offering at The CP in town.
”alcohol consumes in the lounge”
is it a monster?

Added: nothing breakfast wise in the lounge.
Also, housekeeping were doing their stuff before 6am!
