I was looking at booking this hotel for a weekend in August. Prices are insane coming in over 500GBP per night advance saver rate... I can get it for about half on my corporate rate however. Is it still worth about 250GBP per night?
Now as an RA, would it make any difference if I book a classic or superior room?
What is the general RA recognition here?

What is the general RA recognition here?
POINTS (CLASSIC/SUP) => Executive Room (one of the bigger ones)
PAID (CLASSIC) => early modify to Executive then the evening before my stay, a modify to Full Suite if there is availability.
But RA's somtimes get Full Suite on a Points stay too. (I guess RA's with Paid stays get upgraded to Suites first)
Lounge Access upsell is £65+vat (£78). To have Lounge included in your room rate you need book London Executive or a Suite.

But seriously, every August the hotels in this neighborhood are mostly full due to our friends from the Gulf region who are escaping the 45 degree summer temperatures. Same thing at Le Grand hotel in Paris. The extended Qatari royal family seems to especially like IC's.

Obviously they are making up for last August when the IOC bought out the hotel.

I always see their Gulf States Plated cars there in July.
This two week period is also Wimbledon fortnight, another reason for higher London hotel occupancy and thus higher rates.
Of course this makes ones Bogo/Points stay much better value.

I'm here now on a paid stay booked a one bedroom suite and arrived at 10am and was given a spare room (standard) until my upgraded room is ready as a RA the deluxe suite I was told.
It's now 4pm and I'm still in my spare room and have spoken to the front office manager and I'm still waiting , any suggestions ?

I'm here on a Chase Free Night. Checked in at 11am and was given a nice upgrade to a Palace Suite. ^

Go down to the front desk and kick up a massive stink. How many times have you rung them?
