Venetian and Palazzo Las Vegas no longer Bookable through IHG
Starting at least a few days ago (I have been monitoring these hotels for a few weeks now and just noticed), it is no longer possible to book Venetian or Palazzo (Las Vegas) through the IHG Site for ANY date, either via rewards or standard reservation, even though the Hotels are returned in a Las Vegas search on the site. You can however book them through other sites like travelocity and expedia (and I presume, the casino's direct website).
Does anyone know if this is just a temporary glitch, or has IHG disabled all reservations for Venetian/Palazzo via IHG.com?

I imagine this is something to do with the issues Las Vegas Sands have had with their websites over the last few days - whilst partly up now, they've not been working at all since 11th Feb when they were hacked.

I'm guessing/hoping the hacking is the reason. I've been trying to book also, with no luck. The Venetian website is now back up and running, but still nothing on IHG. Is there another way to book using points? I don't think there is a way on the Venetian website, is there? I guess I could probably call.

Tried to book a room today for next month.Called ambassador sevice center and they confirmed no ability to book via ihg website or phone. They have no idea when the problem will be fixed, although they know about it.
The only solution they gave me was to call the hotel direct. That rules out The big win, using the mobile app.No further assistance was forthcoming.

This thread has been going for 4 days now, but the problem has been going on much longer. Almost 2 weeks now. Very frustrating and I hope they get this fixed soon.

I am so frustrated by this. For a long time I have been planning on using my IHG points for a stay at the Venetian at the end of March and now, for the last 2 weeks, I have been unable to book this. I just got off the phone with IHG and they have no idea when this issue might be resolved.

I,m amazed how long this issue is taking to get resolved. Come on!! We are in 2014 and these glitches should be sorted out. I had some frustrating experiences with IHG and one agent even refused to accept the fact that there was some problem on the website but just said "Sorry...the hotel is sold out!" You can do some booking on palazzo.com but it would not give you access to reward nights or special rates like AAA or Government rates or even the Ambassador certificate rates which have to be done only online. Nor is it practical for everyone to make an international call to LV.
Really frustrating!
