Nearly all the IC's in Europe and several in Asia and Africa feature this benefit. If you sit down in the lobby at the right hour of the night and observe, you can see some funny goings on.

Hi all,
I just joined the Ambassador program.

a. i shall be staying 12 nights at 5 properties in the USA in September, 2011.
b. What is the best thing to do...take miles or points .....??
c. How does one go about getting the Royal Ambassador level ?

I have done 60++ paid nights with the SPG already from February to July this year.

Any assistance will be grateful.

Points are always better value than miles.

Ambassador is helpful only if you are staying at Intercontinental hotels. You will need 30 nights in the Intercontinental hotels and a total 60 nights in all 7 brands of the IC group (as per recent advice). Earlier a stay in any 3 Intercontinental and total 50-60 nights used to do the trick.

You can also try to trade for a RA referral certificate in the Coupon Connection. Won't advise buying a RA certi from Ebay.

Looks like a mod has moved the posts for me. My post above referred to the IC Master Promo thread, which is where it was originally posted. I'm not losing the plot - honest..... :)

Well this thread seems to wander all over the place... maybe that's the intention? Anyway, just wanted to put in a good word for Matthew, Anita and the team who look after us at the IC Singapore Club Lounge. They do a great job, the atmosphere is understated elegance, and the service is excellent. No, I'm not a "plant", just a very regular visitor.
