Passport validity concerns
Full disclaimer as this is my fault for overlooking the trip and now doing last minute planning.
I am schedule for a trip to Taiwan (Jul 14-18) and Chiang Mai and Bangkok (Jul 18-21 & 21-29) my return flight to Lax is on 29th.
my passport expires on Jan 28 2024 which leaves me with less than 6 months of a valid passport.
could this be a deal breaker for my getting entry to Taiwan and Bangkok? Anyone enter these countries with US passport with less than 6 month of validity date?
any help is greatly appreciated

You will enter and leave Taiwan with slightly more than six months remaining before your passport expires. You will also enter Thailand with slightly more than six months remaining. Assuming that you will not travel via a third country when going from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, the only potential issue is that you will have slightly less than six months remaining when you depart Thailand. If you are concerned, you could reach out to a Thai consulate here in the U.S. and inquire. However, FWIW, the U.S. Department of State recommends merely that you have at least six months remaining when you enter Thailand:

If you enter your itinerary into https://www.united.com/en/us/timatic/, it indicates that for Thailand, you only need passport validity for the duration of your stay, and for Taiwan (under Chinese Taipei), you only need a passport valid for 3 months.
