United rebooking policy after flight cancellation
The European leg of my United flight GRZ-FRA, FRA-BOS this summer was cancelled. The flights are on Lufthansa metal. United customer service says that because the flights are codeshare, I am not entitled to the flexible rebooking-after-cancellation policies, such as changing the origin/destination by up to 250 miles and plus/minus 7 days. I am wanting to make Boston a stopover and then continue on to another city in the US. On the return I'd like to change the dates and possibly also the origin city.
Am I dreaming or should this be possible? Thanks for the advice!
