I suggest checking to see whether any airport-area hotels offer stay-and-fly rates which would include parking while you are away.

Another option -- depending on where home is -- is to book one-way car rentals between home and airport.

Spothero has plenty of hotel options listed for $13-16/day with free shuttles.

LAX has a new multi-level economy parking garage, with bus service to the terminals in a special lane around the route (which is reserved for buses only). Check out rates here:

https://parking.flylax.com/

If you give them your email address, they'll send notices of occasional sales, which the lower the rate even a bit further.

I find that it generally has rates much lower than, for example, the Parking Spot, which is what I used to use after Lot C closed before the LAX economy parking opened.
