J award options HKG-NYC?
Looking for ideas to redeem 3J one way from HKG back to east coast next summer. I have redeemed J on CX, JAL, Turkish, AA, Eva, Asiana. And I would like to discover new routes that I should try. I'm ruling out Korean as they block most July / Aug for partners. I have United, AA and Delta points. Would prefer to save UR points for hotels.
Is Malaysia an option (backtracking from HKG to KUL then USA)? Singapore is hard since they don't release 3 J. Emirates / Ethiad will be out since I'll need 2 awards to connect through middle east. BA will have high YQ fee.
TIA.

What ffps/airlines/routes have you looked at?
Look at the major USA gateways LAX, SFO, SEA and others to the east, ORD etc
With AAdvantage you need direct flights from Asia to USA to avoid 2 awards.
MH do not fly to the USA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...s_destinations

Thanks. I know it's hard to get 3 J but I always tried 331 (or more) days ahead, and had been successful before. I'm trying to see what other routes / ideas that I'm not aware of that I should look into. Routes like going through other Asian 1 region, HNL or whatever. TIA.

As mentioned above, finding three J award seats on the same flight from HKG to the US can be rather tough.
AA miles: AA, JL and CX are the only cost-efficient options
DL miles: several Chinese airlines ost people don't find too exciting; could try TPE-based China Airlines
UA miles: plenty of partner airlines and routing rules are quite flexible. How about NH via NRT, LH via FRA/MUC, LX via ZRH, OS via VIE, AC via YVR/YYZ/YUL?
