Bos->Philippines

Hi Folks,

Trying to plan a trip for 2 to the Philippines this June (rainy season I know).
Have ~130k UR, 50k MR, 67.5k Citi TU, 122k SkyMiles, 60k AAdvantage.

Can transfer into KrisFlyer, but Singapore doesn't fly from Boston. Do you know if they would let me redeem BOS-LHR (VS) LHR-SIN-MNL (SQ)? I like the 15% online discount and would love to try out the Suites on the A380.

Cathay Pacific BOS-HKG-MNL / BOS-HKG-CEB or JAL BOS-NRT-MNL seem like the best routing and are really nice airlines. MR and TU transfer to Asia miles for 85k one way in J with availability, but I need two tickets and am a bit short with American miles to grab a second ticket post devaluation.

Can also transfer MR to SkyMiles to top up and book BOS-JFK-PVG-MNL on China Eastern for 70k each - though I'm having trouble with availability.

What are your recommendations? Looking to fly 6/1 to Philippines and return at the end of the month 6/29 or thereabouts.

Thanks your help!

SQ's 15% discount only applies on online bookings, and you can only book SQ flights online. So since you'll need partner flights, you'd have to book by phone with no discount.

Would it be worth booking from JFK for the online discount? Or using the full miles pricing for the VS partner flight?

... Or going with one of the other carriers that services Boston?
