I am booking a few flights for the next few months and want to accrue as many points for my frequent flyer programme.

Points seem to get be dependant on the fare class booked (as well as the cabin class). Where can I find the fare class before I book the ticket? I know it will show on the eticket after purchase, but I don't mind paying a bit more to get more points on a higher fare class.

Thanks

Some airline websites will show it clearly during booking, other airline websites may not show it during booking.
Some online travel agency websites will show it clearly during booking, others may not.

You need to provide more specifics about the airline(s) you wish to book.

ITA Matrix will always show fare class, albeit for the lowest priced fare. You can compare the price to OTAs--if they match, same fare class.

Airline miles, sometimes referred to as "points", may depend on fare paid (American will go that way sometime in late 2016, with fare paid times a factor dependent of status level), but not all do. Take the time to read the terms and conditions of the FFPs you are considering.

You also have to keep in mind that many (most) airlines keep two counters: points/miles accrued toward future rewards and points/miles accrued toward elite frequent flyer status. These counters are often different. They use different formulas for rewarding higher-priced tickets/cabins.
