Finally experienced GE in action at LAX. We simply flew past the lines -- both immigration and customs.

Yep, and I was surprised. I expected a shorter immigration line, but I wasn't prepared for skipping the long customs line.

Does anyone have insight into how Precheck approvals work? My wife and I applied at different locations. I applied three days before her and approval letter was dated exactly one week from when I applied. My status says:

Your enrollment has been received and is being processed for delivery to TSA.

Not sure what that means when my wife's online status also says the same thing.

Firstly you say approval letter and then say the response said enrollment. Have you been approved or did you just submit your info and get a response a week letter saying you're being processed?

Secondly how long has it been since the application and the correspondence?
