Welcome to FT, have a read of this:

Your best bet is to contact a travel agency or try something like www.kayak.com or www.google.com/flights

Thanks a lot!
Appreciate the responses....a friend referred me to FlyerTalk as he said that it is for the community to help members find amazing flight deals....I expected that I would (as he told me it works) state where and when I want to go and the membership will respond with exactly where the amazing deals are for my desired plan. This is clearly not the case...I am quite capable of searching all the engines for the best deals they offer but I thought FT was more than that. Ah well...

Have a read of some of the forums here to get an idea of what FT does. This is a community of frequent travellers who share tips and experiences, but not a travel agency to find the lowest priced deals for people. FT is much more than it seems your friend thinks it is.

Welcome to FT.
In the thread that LondonElite posted, have a look at the Mileage Run Deals, Good Deals in Economy, and Premium Class Deals. While not quite what your friend suggested, it is a good place to look to find flight deals.

Welcome to Flyertalk smowjoe.
As others have mentioned FT doesn't really serve the direct function you are looking for. Are there amazing deals posted? Yes. Do they work for everyone? No. But by sticking around something should work for you.
We'll close this thread for now.
