Need help: Lax-MAD

Wife wants to go for honeymoon to MAD, in last week of june to 2nd week of july as her company is shutting down. Only seeing fares above 1300, other than aeroflot which has over 8 hr layovers both ways. Can the experts help me out with a lower fare?

Welcome to FT

FT is not a travel agent or a magic/hidden source of cheap fares.
Try the on line travel agents. kayak, expedia etc

Welcome to FlyerTalk.

Try Google Flights to start. $1,247 lowest, but it's not that far out.

The most convenient flights are Iberia's LAX-MAD non stops, though iirc they're 3x / week.

$1300 seems about par for the course for mid summer to Europe. I don't know if you'll find anything much better.

If you're looking for a deal at that time, try Brazil rather than Spain. West coast - Europe in peak season, ~$1300 sounds about pretty decent.

Crickey, Norwegian wants $1,507.40 + 190.00 fees and taxes! American wants $1,247.

Where are you starting? Would you be returning to the same airport, so that the ticket would be a round trip? People seem to be assuming LAX or NYC in some of the above answers.

Welcome to FlyerTalk. Since your post is off-topic for the info desk, and because FT has no forums where fare requests are appropriate, this thread is now closed.

Please take a look at the wiki in the http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/infor...faqs-more.html sticky at the top of this forum. There you'll find "Trip Planning — Finding Fares, Choosing Carriers, Best Routes/Connections" which lists some of the ways FTers usually find their best fares.

Good luck, and safe travels!
