Issue with name on tickets.
I booked a flight on VS for my husband and son through Expedia. On the booking I included their respective middle initials since they both have the same first and last name. On the Expedia site everything is fine but when I attempt to retrieve the booking on Virgin's website the middle initial for each has been added to the end of their first name (williama and williamc). Expedia assures me that this is will not be a problem. I chatted with Virgin who also assures me that it won't be a problem (have printed & saved the chat).
Please talk me down off of the ledge. Is this going to be a problem? It's an international flight and I know that the name on the tickets must match the name on the passport.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

This is normal and how it always is for my tickets, both domestic and international. Either my first name shows up as FirstM or as FirstMiddle, run together as one word. There are a lot of things to worry about in this world, but this is not one of them.

It's not an issue. There are weekly threads here about middle initials, which nobody cares about. If there is some combination of FIRSTNAME SURNAME that matches passport and ticket you'll have no problems.

I just have to be careful when I print off his boarding passes to enter his First name and middle name (small "p" for the letter of his middle name instead of a Cap). I have had some weird looking versions of my name as well.

Agreed. This is how my husband's name appears on his Aeroplan account. It didn't start out that way - but a few years ago he received a new Aeroplan card with his name written that way. I did call and ask and was told that we had requested the change. Well, he wouldn't even know how and I didn't do it - and since no one else has access to his account I guess the goblins did it. It has never been an issue.
