Connecting Separate Tickets in DEL/BOM
Hi all,
I am looking at a couple of options for a trip later this year to the USA. I am based in the UAE and flights originating from nearby countries are usually close to half the price of DXB/AUH. Does anyone have any experience collecting luggage and re-checking in either BOM or DEL and how much time is "comfortable" - obviously any delays etc have a roll on effect which I am aware of.
Secondly, I am eligible for an e-visa, has anyone had any issues explaining the purpose of your trip is just to get out again?
Thanks!
Cs

no one will have a problem at immigration with you connecting right away on another flight....lots of people do this all the time....
connection times vary based on a number of factors like the time of the day & the class you are flying....i have done transfers at both airports in under 30 minutes but in general a 2 hour window is sufficient to transfer both in del & bom....
