I have taken two flights (MAA-BOM round trip) on the Konnect service in the last one week. Based on my conversation with the flight attendants, Jet will phase in this service on most routes to compete better with Kingfisher Red. Same planes, but no first class seats. Food & drink for sale on board but you do get water free in styrofoam cups.
Compared to JetLite, this is far better since they haven't reduced leg room by cramming in an extra row or two. |

Since when has Jet (a self-professed premium carrier) morphed into a LCC?? And you are happy with water in styrofoam cups??!  They have made the most stupid decision in their history - why would anyone want to fly Jet now?? Not me, if they don't have a C cabin! |

Instead of reconfigurating aircrafts to all Y, they should have kept the J cabin but sold it as Y and seat the FFers and higher Y bucket pax in those seats offering Y food.
The rest of the pax in Y cabin and food for purchase. This way they would have kept the FFers happy and those who buy flexible Y tickets loyal. The FFers would continue to accrue and their status obviously means that they will continue to use Jet. This way, when the economy recovers in a year or two, they can reintroduce J fares back on sale. just my two pennies worth. |

And no lounge access for elites! That is just a slap in the face. No thanks Jet, you wouldn't be Konnecting this pax anymore on the routes where this is offered. :td: |
Agreed with all the above comments. I'm just still hoping that the BOM-CCU sector is busy enough that they don't downgrade the service. In the event that they do so, does anyone know if LH M&M will give me the option to change my carrier (possibly routing too)?

I didn't say I am happy, but given that my choices for a morning flight MAA-BOM are Spice Jet (canceled most times), IC (late most times), 9W (Konnect service) and S2 (cramped JetLite), its a bit easier to submit to the LCC concept from Jet.

Just got off the international flights I was on, and 9w crew advising that *all* domestic flights are going Konnect, except for BOM-DEL!!!
This really, really sucks, especially if one wants to fly Jet domestically, as I do! |
So what happens to those pax that hold future J tickets?

This really, really sucks, especially if one wants to fly Jet domestically, as I do! This really does suck...I only travel Y domestically, since that's the company's policy, but the full service is why I choose 9W and not the LCCs. Especially on the early morning / late evening flights the full service is what I want. Less so on a daytime flight but still... If they're going to move onto the LCC model a la Easyjet then there's still a proper IT option, then that's it - no brainer. :td: |

Precisely my reasoning on this as well - go for IT or AI - Jet is handing over business to them on a platter! :D
