They are code-share partners, and earlier it appeared that 9w was leaning towards joining the OW alliance...but now code-shares with UA (LHR/BRU?) and AC (to/from BRU) as well, TATL...

OW needs to work hard to have a good airline on their team.

I have to agree, last month i had pre allocated 1A from BOM to LHR, did online checkin, arrived at the airport and was presented a boarding card with 1A so all was good!

but i could not believe it when i was escorted on to the aircraft, the ground agent pointed at 2A and told me it was 1A. I was totally dumbfounded and in shock at how an agent can not know the seats. The Inflight manager came around and told the ground staff, that 1A was the other seat! the ground staff asked me if i wanted 1A but i noticed that the person who was supposed to be 2A had made himself comfortable in 1A, so instead of being a DYKWIA, i just accepted 2A. all was well untill the meal service began and the inflight manager could not get the table out but luckilly seat 2K was free so i shifted over for the rest of the flight. I would have been pissed if no window seats were available!

Regarding the lounges - check out the F/Premiere class lounge at BRU - excellent food offerings (at least in summer) and recently at LHR the AA lounge was decent enough....
As i am from London, i dont think i will ever be at BRU to try it out!

I have to disagree, i think the AA lounge is not adequate for a First Class passenger on an airline that believes its First Class product is up there with the best! At London, when i checked in, they had all my bag tags, boarding cards, pre printed and i was impressed. I wasnt offered an Escort but i reckon the ground staff must have been helping other passengers (language barrier requirements, unaccompanied minors etc) i was not fussed i know LHR T3 like the back of my hand! The AA Lounge is an Business Class lounge not First Class and not good enough for me if I am travelling First Class!

In BOM, the lounge options are pathetic! Anyone know if Jet is creating a Lounge worthy of First Class in the international Terminal. I would have thought that at its home base, it would have something similar to the Silver Kris at Singapore or Concorde Lounge that BA have at T5 with enough amenities to kill a few hours!

However, they have to join an alliance (preferably *A), otherwise this really becomes difficult if they are not spread out internationally...
I have to disagree again, i think they should join Oneworld, Star has some good carriers but the rest range from average to below average and Air India are joining Star so i reckon Oneworld and has an higher Quality. PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SKYTEAM!!!!!

I entirely agree. Even though the Jet First class passengers use the AA Flagship lounge which is actually a First class lounge. It is pathetic for AA to have such a terrible departure lounge in LHR. AA has one of the best arrivals lounges in LHR. Mature travelers usually use either CX or JL lounge and avoid AA flagship lounge.

I am not sure if you were joking o just do not understand the expression. Bedridden means confined to bed. Wheelchair means tat they cannot get around on their own.

Wheelchair ridden is perfectly acceptable usage. Now what about patients who are bedridden? I assume they are dominated and harassed by the bed.

English is my first language, and I use a wheelchair, which neither dominates nor harasses me, and by which I am not obsessed. I'm not "bound" to it, either.

Back to your previously scheduled program.

I understand the expression, but it is no longer acceptable usage. Neither are "wheelchair bound" or "confined to a wheelchair". Acceptable usages include "uses a wheelchair", "wheelchair user".

Sorry, I wasn't aware of this. Didn't intend to be insensitive. My apologies.

If I want to call myself wog, I can even if it may not be acceptable for you to call me wog. The poster wasn't calling your relative wheel chair ridden. When one says guilt ridden, the guilt is not physically riding on top of the person. No one wants to be in a wheel chair.
