Great seat, good food (not great though), excellent wines, overall a good touch and feel. Flight left gate in London 20 mins early (!) and arrived almost 1h early in Mumbai! The flight attendants were attentive, though not quite the Bollywood cast I was expecting after some of the enthusiastic comments elsewhere. But very polite indeed!

Conclusion: Will fly them again if I have the chance.
Would you like to comment on the champagnes available on board?

just got back from hong kong on kingfisher first....

flight was very comfortable & the food choice was pretty decent....

they have increased the number of movie choices since the last time i flew with them....i think there were about 15 english movies & 18 hindi movies....

i have no real complaints about the flight but i flew jet first on my way to hong kong & there is no doubt that jet is far superior....i'll admit that i am comparing jet first to kingfisher first, when i should be comparing jet premire with kingfisher first....but i feel even jet premire is better than kingfisher first on their long haul flights....

I have always stipulated the same - but others think differently from us!

Jet is much more professional on board, although the LHR Kingfisher staff on the ground (ex-9w) were fantastic the last time I flew with them, versus the dimwits of 9w at LHR who don't know what they're doing (outsourced handling agents?)

Dom Perignon (forgot the vintage). No choice of a second champagne, but Dom was perfectly fine.

And regarding the other previous posts comments: I agree, the IT crew certainly was not as "mature" as with many other established airlines, but they were always very professional. No complaints about that whatsoever.

The in-flight movie offering is indeed very limited. For a Western traveller, the Hindi selection is a no go (somebody needs to explain the fascination of Bollywood flicks to me some time ...). The selection of Western movies is very small and felt a little outdated - which was good in my case since I know ALL the recent releases anyways, as a weekly traveller on EK, EY and the likes.

Yes, in sizes small-medium-large. Did not take a look at it, though (so no clue which brand it was).

On my single night flight on IT, I received the brown PJ's and found that they were *very* uncomfortable as compared to Jet's many different versions - which I use all the time, whether flying or not - the cotton is really soft and a pleasure to sleep in.

It didn't help that IT kept the temperature up quite high either...

I personally prefer Jet's old dark grey ones - I hope they bring those back!

I remember the days when they had none!

but in all seriousness, i read an internal memo from Kingfisher to its staff stating that the reason why their AVOD options are limited is because some procurement middle manager purchased the wrong versions for the hardware that KF have installed. They will be uploading the new content eventually once they figure out how to adapt the system or increase the storage or something similar.

Kingfisher Airlines: Bait-and-Switch Robbery

KINGFISHER CHARGED ME 360 TO CHANGE THE DATE OF MY TICKET
In July of 2009 I booked a London-Calcutta ticket, to return around the end of April 2010 I paid 538, including a free, one-time no penalty rebooking. They said I would have to pay the difference in fare, and when I asked if fares increased much, they said no. I was led to believe these were differences in inflation changes due to the price of petrol changing.
However, now I have my travel dates they are telling me I must pay an ADDITIONAL 360. That is a difference of 67%!!! For an economy seat, no difference in class.
I have been robbed. I am a victim of bait-and-switch.
There are seats on the plane. I have already paid for a return flight, and they refuse to change the dates of tickets without an invented rate change. This is double-speak for we have already sold you a return ticket, but when you want to use it, we will steal your money, with no justification.
They have the gall to tell me they have kindly allowed me to change with no penalty. They sell you a spoon of honey while stealing your whole wallet.

DO NOT TRUST KINGFISHER!!!!!

Kingfisher, if you wish to resolve this complaint, email me at: [email protected]
